Smith Vs. Dolde
A match for the best out of seven games, 25 moves per hoour, will be played at the Pittsburgh Club rooms between W. H. Smith of Swissvale, Pa., and H. L. Dolde. Mr. Smith was formerly a member of the Chicago Chess Club, later of Gary, Ind., and has a reputation as one of the rising chess players of the country. He is very studious and many of his friends believe he will make a good score in this match.
Since writing the above, the first game of this match has been completed, bearing out the expectation that Mr. Smith would prove a worthy opponent.
