State Meeting at Rye Beach.
At least one mid-summer-meeting for chess players of the State will take place at Rye Beach, N. Y., during the week of July 22 to 27, according to the action taken at a general business meeting held at the Manhattan Chess Club last mOnday. A committee, consisting of H. M. Phillips, F. O. Lacey, Walter Malowan and Hartwig Cassel, will drop in at Rye Beach shortly in order to make arrangements for the championship and general tournaments.]
The following two games were played in the Rye Beach tournament in New York. The tournament, as previously reported, being won by Kupchik.
