Berlin—An American lady who returns to New York, a friend of a friend, will kindly mail this letter. Thus sometimes a chance is offered for mail written in a foreign tongue. Who now wants to use the German mail must write German. The idea is, of course, sound. Europe is full of spies; especially Russia has spent a good deal of money to get secret information on important military matters.
