The following position occurred in a Copenhagen tournament in 1930.

White to move. There followed:
1. Q-KB6!! and Black resigned. To save the mate (PxQ, R-N4ch, K-R1; BxP mate), Black would have to play QxB, which spells 'doom' too after QxQ.
