World Champion Alekhine gave his much-advertised mammoth simultaneous exhibition last week at New York City against fifty teams of four each. He won 30, drew 14 and lost 6. One of the very strongest teams entered thought they had a win but the champ executed a clever sacrifice of queen for rook and forced a draw by perpetual check, which his opponents gladly accepted rather than lose.
