The Bern tournament was finished last week, Dr. Alekhlne capturing first place with but one loss, to Bo-goljubow, and three drawn games against Dr. Euwe of Holland, Oygll and Dr. Naegell of Switzerland. Dr. Euwe captured second prize and was the only player In the tournament who was unbeaten. He won 8 games and drew 7, so that his final score was one point behind Alekhlne.
