Only two more weeks after this coming Thursday, and then the Isaac Kashdan exhibition a treat for ail chess players. Besides having representatives from the local club and the Castle Chess club, also of Allentown, Northampton, Nazareth, Easton, Cata-sauqua and Bethlehem will also have representatives at this coming exhibition. This Is the last round in the Y. M. C. A. tournament schedule, and all postponed games must be played by the end of the month: Foley vs. 3eary, Campbell vs. Hesse.
Billiard vs. Albrecht, Shuler vs. Warsau, Godfrey vs. Steckel, and Rockel gets a by. C. Geary and Ray Kemmerer are tunning neck and neck in their 20 game checker match with five games apiece and four draws. After his monster exhibition in New York, where he played against 200 in a simultaneous exhibition and then another exhibition in Boston against 40, Jose R. Capablanca, former world's champion returned to Havana, uuoa, nis nome. i;apaoianca said he i intended to go in quest of the world's ' title again. Allentown will return the team ; match with Reading on this coming inursaay evening at Heading.
Allentown's crack chess team, sporting the colors of the Y. M. C. A., continue undefeated but the chess team of the Reading Chess club threw a scare into the locals when they extended the wits of the Allentonians and were just nosed out by a 6-5 score. The newly organized chess club of Northampton divided 12 of their members into two teams on Wednesday evening, R. Delbcrt's team winning over R. Smith's by a score of 4'i-lij. For the first time in thirty-f ive years, the presidency of the Pennsylvania State Chess association has been won by some one outside of Philadelphia. The new president is R. s Goerllch. The following two games were played by the state tournament at Philadelphia.

After which the troll posted a string of profanities, confirming there was never any genuine sentiment of “compassion” for Mr. Fischer, rather an intent to inflict further defamatory remarks.

This ongoing work is a tribute to the life and accomplishments of Robert “Bobby” Fischer who passionately loved and studied chess history. May his life continue to inspire many other future generations of chess enthusiasts and kibitzers, alike.

The photograph of Bobby Fischer (above) from the March 02, 1956 The Tampa Times was discovered by Sharon Mooney (Bobby Fischer Newspaper Archive editor) on February 01, 2018 while gathering research materials for this ongoing newspaper archive project. Along with lost games now being translated into Algebraic notation and extractions from over two centuries of newspapers, it is but one of the many lost treasures to be found in the pages of old newspapers since our social media presence was first established November 11, 2017.
