This will guarantee plenty of action in the tournaments that are planned for the coming season THE COUNTY LEAGUE The Westchester County- Chess League will hold its first meeting of the season Wednesday at the Y M C A in White Plains Present membership consists of the White Plains C C the Holsatia C C of Y’onkcrs the Crestwood C C the Mount Vernon C C and the Greenwich C C of Greenwich Conn It is expected that newly organized clubs in Rye and Port Chester will come in this year The chief activity of the league consists of team matches between the: various clubs : THE ALEKHINE TOUR After resting from the work incidental to winning the Pasadena Tourney- Dr A Alekhine world champion is now in Mexico City having arrived there last Thursday It had' been his oi in-inal riah to continue from there to Pcrto Rico -but the- hurricane which struck there recently caused him to cancel this trip.
