PROCUREMENT Division Chess Club of the Treasury Department, the latest addition to the growing District chess family, encounters the veteran Paul Morphy Chess Club tonight at 8 o’clock at the latter's den, 1508 Fourteenth street northwest. R. O. Morrisette, chairman of the Procurement group, announces the match will be an 8-board affair. Last week the Treasury boys received their first christening from the hands of the Agricultural Chess Club In a 3board match.
Players in the Procurement line-up for tonight’s fray will include probably John M. Frank, Fred Hale, J. H. MacCready, Alec Donsky, George Martin, Jr.; W. R. Shannon, R. G. Morrisette and L S. Dandy. President Earl Kunkle i$ undecided as to who shall compose the Morphy team, but avers that there will be plenty of fireworks.
Possible team players are E. J. Bennett, Simon Naidel, John Lind, Max Kessler, Guy K. Camden, J. Neufeld, J. D. Sutphen, D. Bard, D. D. Rothgeb, J. Benjamin, S. B. Bennett, V. Saporito—to name a few of the ex-doughboys. Players will furnish their own equipment, refreshments will be available.
