RULES OF THE SOLVING CONTEST The winners of each month's on-t will receive a three-month subscription tn the Chess Review, a month's member, ship In the Chess and Checker Club of Los Angeles. 124 W. Fourth St., and the Hollywood Chess Group, 108 N. Formosa, Ave., where they may discuss composing and solving of problems and end games. Every winner will be marked with a cumber showing times he was a winner m climbing the ladder. The system wiii enable 12 (or more in a case of a tie) o.t-ers to win. solutions sent in answer to tnia moo. lem will be acknowledged within iwo weeks after publication if you wish to figure in the "up-to-the-minute" ladder, the time limit beine seven days.
